Elizabeth was raised in Hurst, Texas, but moved to Bloomington in 2014 to attend Indiana University.  She graduated in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. In December 2019, she graduated with a Master of Science in Environmental Science (MS) and a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) with a concentration in Water Management from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA).

Elizabeth has been passionate about science since she was in elementary school – it was always her favorite subject.  However, during her time as an undergraduate, she realized that understanding science and policy are important when pursuing a career in the environmental field.  This realization made her pursue the dual master program at SPEA which ultimately earned her an MS and an MPA.  During her time in graduate school, she decided she wanted to pursue a career in consulting, leading her to VET.    Her role as Storm Water Program Manager is the perfect combination of her interests.  She works with salvage yards every day to make their businesses more efficient and compliant.  She loves that she is able to help these business owners implement solutions that make sense for their facility while helping the environment.

In her free time, Elizabeth has taken up cooking – you can often find her whipping up some new recipe (with a 50/50 chance of it being fantastic or terrible).  Elizabeth’s other hobbies include listening to podcasts, reading outside on her porch, and spending time with family and friends!
